Moulded plastic (injection) zippers hold their shape under load and resist abrasion, which makes them a common choice for luggage, outdoor bags, upholstery and heavy-duty applications. Quality is driven by mould condition, melt temperature, colour mixing and chain-to-slider fit.

Q1. Are moulded plastic zippers strong enough for luggage?
Yes for most luggage and bag applications, provided the chain size and slider match the load. Tell us the bag type and expected load, and we will recommend size and tooth profile.
Q2. Can you produce custom colours?
Yes, to a Pantone or physical sample. Note that deep shades and metallics behave differently from nylon dyeing — we will confirm the achievable match before production.
Q3. Which sizes are available?
Common sizes follow the same numbering as nylon and metal (#3, #5, #8, #10). The right size depends on the seam and the load; send your drawing or sample.
Q4. Do plastic zippers work on outdoor products?
They resist water absorption better than nylon coil, but UV and low-temperature performance depend on the resin grade. Tell us the climate and use case so the grade can be confirmed.
Q5. What is the difference between moulded and coil zippers?
Moulded teeth are individually injected and hold shape; coil zippers are a continuous monofilament spiral and are more flexible. Bags and luggage typically prefer moulded, apparel prefers coil.
